Instructions

  • **Add Liquid:** Gradually pour in the non-dairy milk, whisking constantly to create a smooth mixture.
  • **Simmer:** Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir frequently until the sauce begins to simmer.
  • **Incorporate Fats:** Add coconut oil (or vegan butter). Continue stirring until melted and fully incorporated.
  • **Add Flavor (Optional):** Stir in vanilla extract.
  • **Adjust Consistency:** If the sauce is too thick, add a splash more non-dairy milk. If it’s too thin, simmer slightly longer to reduce.
  • **Cool & Store:** Remove from heat and allow to cool briefly. Transfer to a heatproof container or jar.
